Sharon Munger has a BS in Education and a Masters of Education from Miami
University in Oxford Ohio. She is a former high school art teacher and college level art instructor.
She is a member of the Northwest Pastel Society. Sharon is now retired from being a UPS driver
of twenty years and substitutes in the Vashon School District. The Barnworks is on her property
and has been the place of the art shows for the past twenty five years.

Artist's statement..... I have lived on Vashon Island for over forty years. Watercolor and
pastel painting are now a focus with me. Pottery has also become a true delight. It is with great
enjoyment to concentrate more on the pleasure of painting or pottery. Traveling to other parts of
the world has opened up a new found awareness of different light, landscapes and colors. Painting
what I truly enjoy either outdoors or with the aid of a digital camera to capture the light is a
challenge which I accept.
